Before you buy
Yes, you can — if you are a back sleeper. Your head rests in the channel between the two arms and stays supported all night. People have asked whether it can be used to help someone remain on their back while sleeping. That is a great use of the Drop Pillow.
The speakers sit inside the foam arms, right beside your ears, so the sound stays with you. That very localised sound is the point: anyone not using the pillow won't hear anything coming from it.
This comes up a lot. In the future, when we have some time for testing, I suspect there will be a lot of things that come to light that the Drop Pillow helps with. But until that has been properly done, I don't want to make any misleading claims. — Whit
Nope. There is high-end memory foam at all the contact points for your head and regular foam for the structure. Latex allergies are not an issue for the Drop Pillow.
All Drop Pillows include speakers and a Bluetooth receiver, but it is up to you whether you use them or even turn them on.

Sound and setup
There is a step-by-step instructional video on the welcome page. If you have any problems after that, email whit@droppillow.com.
This is usually the speakers not sitting in the right place. First, check that the speakers face the correct direction — red side towards your ear. Then, with the sound on and your head in the pillow, slide the speakers back and forth in their sleeves. They are designed to move underneath the outer pillowcase so you can find the right fit. The speakers give high quality sound, but they have to be directly over your ears to give the proper volume.
Try rotating the 3.5mm jack in the input hole of the Bluetooth unit. Sometimes it isn't making good contact. If that doesn't fix it, email us.
Nope. You can plug a 3.5mm stereo jack (male) into whatever audio source you prefer.

Care and washing
Yes. The Drop Pillow has two covers: an internal cover that holds the pillow and the speakers, and a buttery soft external cotton/poly blend which is machine washable. Washing instructions come with the pillow.
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never soak memory foam. Let it air fully before putting the cover back on.
Yes. The Extra Cotton Blend Pillow Cover is the same cover that ships on every pillow, so you can rotate between washes. The Ice Blue Cooling Pillowcase adds a cool-touch layer for warm sleepers.

That is what the 60-Night Drop Promise is for. We can't take a used pillow back, so instead: tell us within 60 nights and we'll send a replacement cover set and a year of Drop Sessions, free. It isn't a refund and we won't pretend it is — it is the most we can do without putting a used pillow back into circulation.
Two years on the electronics and foam: speakers, Bluetooth unit, battery and the memory-foam core. Covers are consumables and washable; if one fails at the seams in the first year we replace it.
